*This is an ongoing class and campaign that will allow characters to be able to hop in and out of the adventure as needed*

We will be playing 5E based DND in the Forgotten Realms or Other Worlds. We will build this adventure together as a group with the DM bringing it all together. You will battle monsters and evil foes, solve mysteries, role play, cast spells, and work together to complete the quests. When you work together and do well on these quests you can earn XP to level up your characters!

*You can bring your character, We can have a pre-made one ready to go for you, or adjust one to your liking in class*

*The campaigns are highly learner dictated and we will update what realm each section is in*

Dungeons and Dragons has shown a lot of positive results in social and emotional learning in neurodivergent children, as well as children who are on an IEP or 504 plan. Through patience, positive reinforcement, and active engagement, D&D allows children the opportunity to think deeply, learn communication skills, and familiarize themselves with how to process complex emotions. D&D provides an escape from the consequences of a real world and allow for exploration of the self and learning through a fantasy world how to engage in everyday life outside of sessions. It provides an outlet for anger, an ability to try speaking to strangers with little active repercussions, and an escape from everyday responsibilities or judgments. D&D allows real bonds and friendships to be formed through a community of acceptance and a love of the campaign, and this can prove to be invaluable in a child’s life.
